Associated Bus Ministries Trust has been set up for the use of Christians across the spectrum of denominations and affiliations. Our primary purpose is presenting the Good News of Christ Jesus to unbelieving people. We invite all those who see the vision for using buses in evangelism to join in this work with us.
There are several ways people can be involved in the ministry. People's first involvement usually comes through working with a Good News Bus located near them. This gives them an opportunity to establish if this is the method of outreach appropriate for them to use. It also gives them valuable experience of the practical issues in using a bus in evangelism.
Whatever the duration and/or frequency of the event the bus is required for by your group its availability can usually be agreed with the local committee responsible for the relevant vehicle. The main thing to be able to benefit from is experience and to gain confidence in this method of outreach. Training is recommended in advance of any major outreach programme.
Some groups, having used the bus over a period of time, have felt called to a deeper involvement in the work. They have purchased their own bus either through or with the support of Associated Bus Ministries. We will help you as you select and secure a suitable vehicle and with the legal framework to establish yourselves.
Groups with their own vehicles and respective ministries already have benefited from affiliating to Associated Bus Ministries. Whilst separate in their charitable status (or other legal entity) these have good relations within the wider work nationally.
A National Conference is hosted each year in London by Associated Bus Ministries. This is open to all those involved in bus ministries and is a time for encouragement and fellowship with others sharing a similar vision.

Regular prayer letters are sent to all our supporters and a bi-monthly e.mail prayer bulletin can be sent on request. These provide news, ideas and details of coming events. In Support
Members will receive the full support of the ministry team in getting their event organised in an effective manner and members can draw on the experience of other people's use of the buses to ensure that the maximum benefit is obtained. On becoming a member you will receive a 'Know-How' manual which details how the buses operate, contacts for help and the various lines of communication required. also included with the 'Know How' sheets are colour copies of the display boards, information of the literature available, together with guidance notes which talk through the way the bus has been used in the past. These enable you to prepare well before using the bus.
Supporting the Ministry
In return we request members to consider prayerfully how they will support the Good News Bus ministry. The following are a few ways in which members can support the ministry:
In Prayer. By encouraging your own members to take an active interest in the work of the ministry and the events that are taking place. It may be worth appointing one or two people to take responsibility for receipt and distribution of information.
In Giving. Members may consider this work as an extension of their home mission and therefore include support for the ministry in a regular manner.
We rely upon individual and corporate gifts from our members to enable us to continue the ministry and to take advantage of new opportunities to serve the wider church.By Sharing. Members are encouraged to share with other Christians the potential availability of a Good News Bus. It has been largely due to people talking about their use of the bus that the ministry has grown.
Practically. We are always looking for people with time available to take an active role in the work or to help in the ongoing work needed 'back-stage' to keep the vehicles running.
